Bachan (railway) Cottages The Bachan (railway) Cottages - now vanished - though the trees can be identified. Provided by the late Mr Sandy Bennet who was born in one of them. His father was a Newfoundland forestry worker. Charlie McLagan also lived here for a time.

I remember the Bennetts well - the younger son, Cornelius (Con) was in my class in primary school.

I am the daughter of William Cameron,neice of Dougie, Rose and Charlie Cameron. Rosie married and moved to Kingussie.

I reckon that both Mary Christie & Doreen James told me that the Camerons lived at the Bachan.

Thank you. Mary Christie was my mothers cousin. Daughter of Granny Craib. My mother was at Granny Craibs when she met my dad.
