Lochend Cottage 1930's. Compare this to the other photos from different angles and timescales - seems like the same place. I have a theory - that the Loch was excavated to some extent when the dams were built. To date, I have never been able to trace any part of this.

Yes they were I remember my father Donald Stewart telling me of the raising of the dam. My grandfather was shepherd in 1920 -1930's and lived in the cottage. Alexander Stewart marriage to Margaret MacPherson both from Knock in Newtonmore.
