Lochend Cottage Dalwhinnie - long before the dams. If this image is accurate, then the remains of this cottage must lie due south of the Gate Lodge.This is where the Campbells, and Craibs/McLagans lived. Could it be that these walls were used to construct the sheep fank which once stood at the Shieling?

My grandparents Lewis Grant,Theresa Grant,my dad John Grant lived at Lochend Cottage. My uncle James Grant was born at Lochend Cottage in 1929.
