The Loch Ericht Hotel Register from 1958 with an entry for Commander & Mrs.Dunlop & Son, Doonside, Ayr. This family owned the Loch Ericht Lodge - the old part of the Hotel from around 1915 to the 1920s.

They were reputedly partly responsible for the siting of the Village Cenotaph at its old location - some few hundred yards south of the Hotel - a stone marks the spot. Their son or perhaps grandson/nephew was killed in WW1. This family were major contributors to the "Dalwhinnie War Heroes Fund", which set up the Cenotaph. I'll post more details evetually."Doonside" is at Alloway, where Robert Burns was born.
