"Mr A MacDonald" accepts the appointment as Distillery Manager. Perhaps other folks can fill in more details?

Comments:
That would be Dan Macdonald I think - he was manager at the distillery until the 1950's. He had 2 sons, Douglas and Donald - Douglas went on to manage Glenfarclas distillery - he was married to Sheila, daughter of the Macphersons who owned the shop. Douglas died tragically on a fishing trip up Loch Ericht.

Do you know the date? Douglas would have been Cammy's Dad.

He was indeed. Douglas died in the 70's sometime I believe.

The letter is likely from Angus Macdonald he was manger before my dad J.A.Allan. Then moved to Inverness, appointed inspector. He used to keep a few beehives at Ord Distillery after we moved back there.
