Carnegie Heroes Fund Medal for Dr Donald Macdonald

The citation for the Carnegie Heroes Fund Medal for Doctor MacDonald of Laggan. This can be seen at the Carnegie Fund office in Dunfermline, Fife. A remarkable document and achievement.
Andrew Carnegie visited Dalwhinnie often apparently, on the way to stay with Cluny MacPherson at Cluny Castle. The patient was Joseph McCook - grandfather of the redoubtable and sadly lamented Donnie Wilson, whom I'm honoured to have counted as a friend.
