"Camp site bay" at Loch Ericht

What I call "camp site bay" at Loch Ericht. I camped just to the right with my father during the 2 weeks holidays he had from the coal mine every July. From about 1962 onwards to 1972, and often since. We first came to Loch Ericht with the Coal Industry Social & Welfare Organisation(CISWO) Fishing Club for weekend outings. Then camped in 1961 on the south side. I still have a trophy Dad won on Loch Ericht in 1963. Of all fishing memories - a beautiful 2lb Char caught on a spinner still lingers! You could say I was "hooked" by the place - the scenery, fresh air, peace, weather, the people I met eg.Charlie McLagan, Davie Craib, Eilenn and Johnnie MacPherson etc. Just in case you ever wonder why - everyone has to have a "spiritual home"....
